Job Title: Physical Education Graduate Assistant

Job Description:

The Physical Education Graduate Assistant will support the Department of Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy by assisting with program management, event coordination, and administrative operations. This role offers practical experience in higher education while fulfilling graduate program requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Plan, promote, and coordinate the annual SEZ Fall Care to Share Workshop, including managing logistics, communications, and event materials.

Maintain and organize the equipment closet, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage.

Assist the Program Director with various departmental tasks, including:

o Scheduling meetings and preparing materials.

o Collecting and organizing student assessment and accreditation data.

o Developing marketing materials for program bulletin board and outreach.

o Supporting open houses and information sessions for prospective students.

o Assisting with departmental communications and website updates.

Provide course support to faculty members, including preparing equipment and distributing resources for classes and workshops.

Help coordinate student engagement activities and department events throughout the academic year.

Qualifications:

Enrollment in the Physical Education or Sport Pedagogy graduate program.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Hours Expectation / Tuition Remission

100 hours during the fall semester (3 credits).

100 hours during the spring semester (3 credits).

Hours are flexible but may include occasional evenings or weekends for events.

Housing:

Housing is not provided.
