Job Summary/Basic Function
The Learning Resource Center (LRC) Coordinator provides operational, administrative, and compliance support for the School of Nursing's laboratory and simulation environments. This position coordinates daily lab activities, scheduling, and resource allocation while ensuring alignment with Ohio Board of Nursing (OAC 4723) regulations and Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation standards.
This role serves as the operational backbone of the LRC, supporting program growth through scalable systems, standardized processes, and effective coordination of lab resources. The position serves as a key liaison among faculty, students, staff, and external partners to promote high-quality, safe, and effective learning experiences. The Coordinator works closely with the LRC Director, simulation leadership, and faculty to ensure that laboratory environments are efficient, compliant, and aligned with instructional and programmatic needs. This position does not provide direct instruction but enables high-quality learning through operational excellence.

Essential Functions and percent of time
Laboratory Operations and Coordination 35%- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) in collaboration with the LRC Director- Serve as the primary point of contact for lab operations, coordinating faculty, students, and external users- Coordinate lab tours, outreach activities, and support events such as nursing camps- Assist with meeting coordination and lab-related communications- Support operational planning and implementation related to LRC expansion initiatives, including increased lab utilization and new program needs- In collaboration with leadership, develop and maintain standard operating procedures for lab operations- Assist with lab setup and breakdown for instructional and simulation activities
Scheduling and Resource Management 25% - Develop and maintain comprehensive lab schedules across courses, remediation sessions, and make-up activities- Coordinate and optimize lab utilization to support increased enrollment and program complexity- Track lab usage data and generate reports to inform planning and decision-making;- Coordinate adjunct and instructional support logistics in partnership with program leadership- Maintain inventory of lab equipment and supplies; coordinate maintenance and repairs- Communicate with vendors and manufacturers regarding equipment needs, repairs, and upgrades- Support maintenance of student learning materials and simulation resources

Compliance and Accreditation Support 15%- Maintain accurate student records related to laboratory learning, including competency check-offs and remediation documentation- Ensure secure storage and confidentiality of student and program records in accordance with university policies- Support compliance with Ohio Board of Nursing requirements for skills validation and supervised learning experiences- Assist in preparation and organization of documentation for CCNE accreditation, including student outcomes, resource utilization, and program effectiveness- Participate in audits, accreditation reviews, and site visit preparation- Support documentation and reporting needs associated with program growth, expansion, and accreditation reviews
Systems and Data Management 10%
Serve as functional lead for systems used for tracking student progress, lab utilization, and compliance (e.g., Power Apps or similar platforms)- Assist with data collection, analysis, and report preparation for program evaluation and decision-making
Policy, Quality Improvement and Curriculum Support 10% - Assist with implementing and monitoring standard operating procedures, policies, and protocols for lab operations- Support development of processes that ensure scalability and sustainability of lab operations during program expansion- Collaborate with faculty to support alignment of lab activities with course objectives and program outcomes- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and accreditation readiness efforts- Ensure lab practices align with current standards in nursing education and simulation
Non-Essential Functions and percent of time
Other Duties as Assigned (5%)- Support special projects and emerging needs related to LRC operations and program
Working Conditions
