Job Summary
The Community Connection Assistant will be an active team member of a not-for-profit organization, school or governmental agency in the community. The successful candidates will have the ability to work in the community, making an impact in areas such as children and education, food insecurity, homelessness, poverty and more.
Essential Duties
The Community Connection Assistant’s duties will vary depending upon the organization they are matched with.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the organization’s mission
  • Supporting the organization’s daily operations, which may include work with customers, consumers, staff and volunteers and future or expanded programming.
Required Qualifications
MWSU Student
Degree Seeking
At least an overall 2.0 GPA
Enrolled at least part-time
Must qualify for federal work study financial aid assistance

  • Teamwork- Build strong, positive working relationships with supervisors and coworkers.
Physical Demands Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
