In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $70,304.00 Annually
Maximum $70,304.00 Annually
Job Summary
This position coordinates day-to-day operational functions processes related to the Office of Risk Management and Insurance and the Office of Legal Affairs. The role requires sound judgment, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to independently coordinate projects, systems, and processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels; able to communicate with diplomacy and professionalism across all levels.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and judgement.
- High level of discretion and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and cloud-based platforms such as SharePoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of higher education operational structures, risk, and legal frameworks is highly desirable.
- Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Public Administration, Legal Studies, Risk Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative operations, risk management, legal affairs, or a related area.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in higher education, legal, or risk management settings.
- Familiarity with property & casualty insurance, risk transfer documents, and claims handling processes.
- Prior experience managing departmental operations, policy development, or compliance-related programs.
