As the Graduate Assistant for Student Accessibility Services (SAS) you will gain practical experience in all facets of the daily operations of the university's accessibility office, ensuring a secure, efficient, and student-centered testing environment for students with academic accommodations through Student Accessibility Services. The position will assist the director and assistant director of SAS in providing accommodation training and guidance related to accessibility services, including service and assistance with animal accommodations. This position coordinates all aspects of testing operations, including scheduling, testing logistics, administration, and the security of testing materials,
while maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. Working collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff, this position helps foster an inclusive and accessible campus environment. This is a two-year position with the expectation of successful graduation from Carroll University with a Master's Degree.
Responsibilities:
Support the daily operations of the university's testing facilities
Coordinate test dates, manage room reservations, prepare test and testing materials, and ensure that tests are returned and properly recorded
Monitor students taking tests and report any acts of academic dishonesty
Maintain strict security protocols for all testing materials and ensures academic integrity
Ensure that the computers have appropriate software loaded for efficient test operation and support maintenance and troubleshooting of testing center equipment
Track data on types of tests taken, number of people, "no shows," and prepare reports.
Administer accommodation training and ensure all external and internal training material is up to date
Provide support to all handlers, animals, and the greater campus community through education, mediation, and guidance
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree is required
Previous experience related to animal behavior is preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required; experience with databases is a plus
Maintain full time status in an eligible Carroll University graduate program is required (tuition is fully waived for the following graduate programs: Athletic Training, MBA, Exercise Science, Master of Education and Master of Arts in Teaching).

Communicate clearly and professionally with students, faculty, and staff
Demonstrate sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive student information and resolving concerns
Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, ability, socio-economic background, or job type.
Foster inclusive practices when assisting students with diverse abilities, backgrounds, and accommodation needs
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and detail-oriented; strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities; ability to work independently as well as on a team
Candidates must be willing and able to support and advance the University mission.
Term of Employment:
This position is limited to a two-year employment term.
Compliance:
Employees may be required to report violations of law under Title IX and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act). If this position is identified a Campus Security Authority (Clery Act), you will be notified and provided resources for reporting. The Clery Act requires all prospective employees be notified of the availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety report. Campus Security Authority Responsibilities
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to Public Safety and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
