
The Department of History, Anthropology, and Modern Languages and Literature at Eastern Washington University seeks applications for an adjunct faculty member who will develop and teach an accelerated, asynchronous online graduate reading seminar in Contemporary American History with a thematic emphasis (Gender, race and ethnicity, the environment, etc.) at the discretion of the instructor. The accelerated, fully online MA program in History will offer a graduate degree for working professionals who are unable to attend a campus MA program.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will develop the class in partnership with EWU's staff and consultants from Risepoint, with a stipend for course development. The course is scheduled to be taught at least three times a year at an adjunct pay rate that is at least $4500 per class. Duties include:
Screening will begin IMMEDIATELY. The first course is scheduled to begin in September 2026.

Compensation: compensation for course development with rights going to the university, $4,500 to $5,250 for teaching each section of the class (based on class enrollment).
