Summary:

The Academic Partnership Liaison is a high-visibility, service-forward professional role serving as the primary onsite representative for Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) faculty, and partners at our Cleveland-area affiliates.

This role delivers a seamless, personalized, and welcoming experience for physicians, faculty, and residents engaged in clinical education and academic collaboration. The Liaison exercises independent judgment, discretion, and proactive problem-solving to anticipate needs, resolve issues, and ensure that every interaction reflects the professionalism and values of NEOMED. This position plays a critical role in sustaining strong institutional partnerships and supporting faculty success within a complex academic medical environment.


Principal Functional Responsibilities:

Faculty Support and Engagement
  • Serve as the primary onsite resource for affiliated medical staff, faculty, residents, and visiting educators affiliated with NEOMED, providing polished professional, service‑oriented support.
  • Coordinate faculty onboarding, appointments, and access to NEOMED systems and resources, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Build strong relationships with health system leaders and faculty to identify and address needs and provide personalized assistance.
  • Support faculty with time‑sensitive administrative and academic tasks requiring discretion and follow‑through.

 

 
NEOMED Partnership and Liaison Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary onsite liaison providing seamless access to NEOMED services and resources.
  • Represent NEOMED at hospital meetings, events, celebrations, and ceremonies.
  • Actively participate in activities that strengthen the partnership between NEOMED and our Cleveland-area affiliates.
  • Facilitate connections between hospital-based faculty and university faculty for teaching, research, and collaborative initiatives.
 
Miscellaneous Duties: Perform other duties assigned in support of faculty, students and institutional partnerships.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in customer service, hospitality, healthcare, academic, or administrative role
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including physicians, faculty, students, and senior leaders
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree
  • Familiarity with learning management systems, scheduling platforms, or academic coordination tools
  • Experience supporting faculty, physicians, or students in a service-oriented role
  • Provide excellence in high-touch customer service, professionalism, and relationship management
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in a complex environment


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and other office equipment. Ability to make rounds throughout hospital facilities to engage with faculty and staff. This position is located at University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH, and requires the ability to travel to other affiliated sites in the area.

Starting Salary Range:
$53,650-$63,486, commensurate with experience.
