Assistant Professor in Information Systems, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and Business Administration

Applications are invited from qualified individuals for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position within the Information Systems, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and Business Analytics (IOSA) area within the Department of Business Administration.

 

We seek candidates who will bring excellence to campus via outstanding research, teaching, and service. Candidates should conduct cutting-edge research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, business analytics, and digital transformation, with particular emphasis on applications in information systems, operations, and supply chain management. Priority will be given to candidates whose research leverages AI/ML methodologies, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision making to solve contemporary business challenges. Research methods of particular interest include machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, predictive analytics, and optimization. Experience with generative AI, large language models, automated decision systems, or AI ethics and governance is highly valued. We especially welcome candidates who can bridge traditional business disciplines with emerging AI and analytics applications. An ability to teach courses at graduate and undergraduate levels across multiple delivery formats (online, hybrid, in-person) is essential, particularly in areas such as AI for Business, Machine Learning Applications, Business Analytics, Data Science, and related quantitative methods. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in information systems, business analytics, operations management, supply chain management, computer science, data science, or a closely related field with demonstrated expertise in AI and business analytics applications.

The Department of Business Administration is a large and diverse unit, which includes graduate and undergraduate programs across eight academic areas (i.e., Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, International Business, Marketing, Operations Management, Information Systems, Business Analytics, and Supply Chain). SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain an active and productive program of research in one or more of the following: information systems, business analytics, operations and supply chain management.
  • Teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels
  • Perform service for the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree
  • Strong research portfolio.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.

SALARY AND APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

This is a 9-month, 100%-time academic tenure-track position with the opportunity for summer appointment. The expected start date is August 16, 2026.

 

The budgeted salary range for these positions is $195,000-$200,000.
