Job Summary/Basic Function
Under the direction of the Team Lead the team member will contribute to a multidisciplinary student team (undergraduate and graduate) working on an open-source, industry-sponsored project as part of the Raider Immersion Program. The Team Member will work under the supervision of the Team Lead.The project will support Booz Allen's missile modeling and simulation team who develops and analyzes dynamic and kinematic models of missiles and aircraft systems. This project focuses on developing a user-friendly workflow and graphical interface that integrates with an open-source software API to verify program input and to validate program output for further processing. The team member is responsible for ensuring completion of delegated milestones throughout the project timeline, participating in team standups to report progress and perform technical reviews.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrollment at Wright State University (undergraduate or graduate level).
  • Experience or coursework in team-based project development.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across diverse technical domains.
  • Technical proficiency in one or more of the following areas:
    • Scripting/programming (Python preferred)
    • User interface design / development
    • Communicating with software APIs
    • Data analysis and modeling
    • Computational aerodynamics tools



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams (Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science).



Essential Functions and percent of time
Project Delivery (40%)

  • Work with fellow Team Members and Team Lead to complete project milestones


Team Collaboration (20%)

  • Coordinate among a team of student interns (bachelor's and master's level) across technical domains (Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, etc.).
  • Build skills as needed for project tools, methods, and software.
  • Support skill building of fellow interns as needed.


Technical Skills & Problem Solving (20%)

  • Contribute to the team in understanding and implementation of the technical requirements.
  • Ensure the solution is user-friendly, with clear documentation and support for future enhancements.


Coordination & Communication (20%)

  • Coordinate with the Team Lead to clarify technical requirements, project scope, and deliverables.
  • Participate in team meetings to report progress, roadblocks, and constructively review contributions of other team members.
