POSITION IS IN-PERSON

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Biomedical & Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at the University of Rhode Island (URI) invites application of a postdoctoral position to conduct vaccine-related research. The successful postdoctoral fellow is expected to design and develop next-generation of vaccines based on our proprietary platforms and conduct in vivo animal studies to evaluate vaccine efficacy and safety. Post-doctoral fellowship is initially for one year, but it may be renewed annually based on progress.




Duties and Responsibilities:
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop next-generation vaccines and evaluate vaccine efficacy and safety in preclinical animal models.

• Collect, analyze, interpret, and present experimental data using appropriate statistical methods.

• Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

• Contribute to the preparation and writing of grant proposals.

• Present research findings at laboratory meetings and scientific conferences.

• Mentor and train graduate and undergraduate students in laboratory techniques, experimental design, and data analysis.

• Collaborate with other investigators to advance research projects.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform other duties as assigned.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:

Personal computers, printers, word processing, database management and spreadsheet software. Research computing and advanced data analysis.
