Appointment:
The University of Puget Sound invites applications for a tenure-track, full-time position to begin Fall 2027. 

Responsibilities:
We seek an applied economist with preparation to teach econometrics and intermediate macroeconomics. Preference will be given to candidates whose primary research fields are in: macroeconomics (E00), history of thought (B1,B2), health economics (I1), or public finance (H00). Secondary fields of interest include: development economics (O1) or finance (G1, G2). The standard teaching assignment is three courses per semester. Duties include advising students, and participating in departmental and university governance. 

Qualifications:
Ph.D. preferred (ABD considered) in Economics

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. 

Faculty salaries at the University of Puget Sound are based on a common salary scale based on experience. Assistant Professor of Economics salaries in 2026-2027 begin at $85,177 for an assistant professor without a terminal degree in their field in their first year of full-time post-doctorate teaching through $97,917 annualized based on experience.
