Salary Range: Up to $58,900/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary

The Senior Program Coordinator coordinates and administers activities of assigned programs by developing and implementing procedures, processes, services, and systems.  This role serves as a liaison with other programs and external parties to ensure cooperation, efficiencies, and accomplishment of stated objectives.

This position supports the College of AI, Cyber and Computing and USAA Student Success Center, with primary responsibility for coordinating and administering the USAA Ascent Scholars program. Responsibilities include coordinating program operations, scholar engagement and communications, programming, experiential learning activities, program tracking and assessment, partner coordination, and grant-related deliverables. The position may also coordinate additional student success programs, projects, and initiatives as assigned in support of evolving College and Student Success Center priorities.

Core Responsibilities

1. Administers, coordinates, and participates in activities involved in assigned programs or projects, including budgeting, scheduling, marketing, training, and evaluating programs.
2. Develops and implements standards for the attainment of program goals and objectives.
3. Maintains frequent interaction with departments, special groups, and external agencies in administering programs. 
4. Facilitates the development of new partnerships for various programs.
5. Evaluates and reports on program results, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
6. Recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities.
7. Coordinates staff training and development and assesses the effectiveness of the program through feedback and performance results.
8. Determines work priorities to ensure that the most important and urgent tasks are completed first, leading to increased productivity and efficiency.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• One (1) year of related work experience.
• This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.

Working Conditions

• Office environment.  Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.  Workdays, areas, and work hours may vary based on the department's needs.

Physical Demands

• Sedentary work; sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.  Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
