Job Description
The University of California, San Francisco, Department of Emergency Medicine is recruiting for full-time
faculty at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.
Preferred and Required Qualifications
We seek individuals who meet the following criteria: clinically-oriented emergency medicine faculty with experience (3+ years preferred), fellowship trained or advanced degree (preferred), at the rank of Instructor or above. Rank and series will be commensurate with qualifications.
Board certification or Board eligibility in Emergency Medicine is required. All applicants should excel in
bedside teaching and have a strong ethic of service to their patients and profession.

The Department of Emergency Medicine provides comprehensive emergency services to a large local and referral population at multiple academic hospitals across the San Francisco Bay Area, including UCSF Hellen Diller Medical Center, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, and the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in San Francsico and Oakland. The Department of Emergency Medicine hosts a fully accredited 4-year Emergency Medicine residency program and multiple fellowship programs, including in Emergency Ultrasound and Pediatric Emergency Ultrasound. There are opportunities for leadership and growth within the Department and UCSF School of Medicine.
The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine provides comprehensive emergency services to a large local and referral population with approximately 70,000 pediatric visits a year at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals at Mission Bay and Oakland, and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG). The Department of Emergency Medicine hosts a fully accredited 4-year Emergency Medicine residency program and multiple fellowship programs, including a fellowship program in Pediatric Emergency. Research is a major priority
and UCSF Benioff Childrens Hospital is a member of the Pediatric Emegency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN). There are opportunities for leadership and growth within the Division, Department and School of Medicine.
