Quality health care centers around relationships. People to people connectivity. Telehealth is both a platform and a strategy to include those near and far in quality health care. The MCG Center for Telehealth is the bridge connecting the resources of a state-wide medical school and an academic medical center to those who have health care needs including the consumer and the provider. The Center is a health care connectivity resource for all of Georgia bringing Patient Care, Research and Education to new locations and populations through our academic missions and service platforms.
This position is designed to support all research activities, regulatory, compliance, and data management functions in the MCG Center for Telehealth and for faculty affiliated with the department.
The duties include but are not limited to:
RESEARCH ACTIVITIES: Assist research team and center director with research activities via participant recruitment, consent, and enrollment. Assist with data collection, spreadsheet development and maintenance, initiation and maintenance of databases, entries into OnCore, RedCap, industry-sponsored, locally generated, and other relevant research/data management systems. Completion of research source documents and case report forms. Database review and revision. Medical records requests, review and abstraction.
REGULATORY and COMPLIANCE: Assist research team and center director with regulatory and compliance tasks as needed. IRB submissions, printing and filing regulatory documents, maintaining regulatory binders, including all required logs and documentation, CVs/licenses, etc. Maintain study binders and SOPs. Maintain grant binders including financial transaction documents.
DATA MANAGEMENT: Assist with data management including maintaining data in Qualtrics, Box and Excel.
TASK MANAGEMENT: Maintain tasks in task management software and track until completed. Assist with management of equipment and supply inventory related research.
DAILY OPERATIONS: Assist with daily operations of the research team such as scheduling meetings, maintaining research calendars, taking meeting minutes, filing financial and other documents electronically and in paper format and transporting items around campus.
OTHER: All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in a research, basic science or clinical setting particularly clinical trials research.
OR
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years' experience in a research, basic science or clinical setting particularly clinical trials research.
Some previous experience with social/behavioral science (public health) research is desirable.
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
This is a part-time non-benefits eligible position (.49 FTE or 19.6 hours per week)
Shift: Days; M-F
Pay Band: B5
Salary: $17.88/hourly-$21.92/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
This position is fully funded through external sources. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of these funds.
