As the Assistant Director of Graduate Programs, you'll have the opportunity to lead initiatives that expand program visibility, strengthen enrollment efforts, and enhance the overall graduate student experience. This position offers a dynamic blend of leadership, strategy, relationship building, and operational management. You'll collaborate with faculty, staff, industry partners, and prospective students to drive recruitment, support student success, and foster meaningful connections between academic programs and the business community. As a trusted leader within the Woodbury School of Business, you'll help guide program development, oversee key operational functions, and contribute to the continued growth and reputation of graduate education at UVU. Summary of Responsibilities


  • Community Outreach & Recruitment: Develop & execute data-informed community outreach & recruitment strategies to attract a diverse and highly qualified student body. Establish & sustain strategic partnerships with industry leaders, professional organizations, and academic institutions to fortify recruitment pipelines and expand program reach. Serve as the leading representative of the graduate programs at key recruitment events. Spearhead the creation and execution of innovative information sessions, webinars, and workshops to engage and educate prospective students. Lead collaboration with the marketing team to drive brand recognition through compelling promotional materials, digital campaigns, and targeted recruitment initiatives. Direct and oversee outreach efforts aligned with institutional initiatives to ensure broad and equitable access to graduate programs. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Enrollment and Recruiting Program Manager in executing recruitment initiatives and outreach strategies.
  • Office Operations & Enrollment Management: Provide leadership in overseeing daily office operations, ensuring optimal administrative efficiency, student services excellence, and staff collaboration. Drive strategic oversight of enrollment processes, including application review, admissions coordination, and student onboarding. Design and implement sophisticated, data-driven tracking systems for recruitment, enrollment, and retention to optimize institutional effectiveness. Ensure adherence to institutional policies and accreditation requirements, continuously identifying areas for improvement and innovation. Build and sustain dynamic, cross-functional relationships with university departments to enhance student support services. Directly oversee the Enrollment and Recruiting Program Manager and frontline administrative staff, providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to enhance enrollment initiatives and student engagement efforts.
  • Student Engagement & Prospective Student Support: Lead high-impact initiatives to support prospective students through the application and enrollment process. Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive informational sessions, open houses, and individualized meetings to engage and convert prospective students. Cultivate a vibrant, inclusive, and student-centered environment by driving engagement efforts, collaborating with faculty, staff, and student organizations to ensure robust access to essential campus resources and opportunities.
  • Strategic Planning & Reporting: Direct the collection, analysis, and synthesis of key enrollment and demographic data to drive strategic decision-making and continuous program improvement. Provide high-level insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to enhance recruitment, retention, and the overall student experience. Play a pivotal leadership role in institutional planning and strategy meetings, ensuring the alignment of program goals with broader university objectives. Lead the development, assessment, and implementation of best practices in student engagement, recruitment, and academic support, positioning the graduate programs as a leader in innovation and excellence. Demonstrated expertise in leading teams, developing forward-thinking strategies, and driving institutional change. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to influence and engage diverse stakeholders at all levels. Proven track record of success in marketing, outreach strategies, and enrollment management techniques. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-paced, results-driven environment. Advanced proficiency in data management, assessment tools, and CRM systems, with the ability to leverage technology for strategic advantage.


Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications


  • Master's degree in business administration, higher education administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience.
