Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide administrative assistant support to the Physical Education Department.

Create/print photo ID's for community members and EMT programs.Maintain Fitness Center membership software and be the liaison/contact person between the software company and Chap Fitness staff.Contact Information Technology for troubleshooting and maintenance.Train all Fitness Center staff on proper utilization of fitness software including, but not limited to: member check in, member sign up, payment methods, refunds, and usage/financial tracking.Communicate with the Athletics Sports Information Director to ensure the Chaparral Fitness webpage contains accurate, up-to-date information regarding Fitness Center hours of operation, holiday closures, and weather-related or unforeseen closures; notify Fitness Center members electronically of any changes to operating hours or unexpected closures. Address and resolve membership issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner; verify student member eligibility and enrollment status through college software, including reviewing the number of credits each student is currently taking.Compile and maintain historical databases of Fitness Center usage, financial transactions, and membership information. Prepare and submit bi-monthly Fitness Center deposit reports as well as monthly Fitness Center usage and financial reports to the Fitness Center Manager.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education
    • High School Graduate required.
  • Experience
    • 1 year previous office experience with 35 wpm typing speed required.
    • More than one year office experience preferred.


Working Conditions:

PC with Microsoft Office software, fax, multiline telephone, calculator, Free Hand software, Red Canyon and Graphic Artist Software, Photo ID equipment.Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.This position requires a background check and drug screen.

Part-Time Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 5 hours daily, flexibility in the shifts available.

We do not offer visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

Hiring Range:
6 Hourly Starting salary beginning at $20.14/hourly, based on education and experience.
