The University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, academic-year (9-month), non-tenure-track Clinical Assistant Professor position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Research. The position will contribute to the College's teaching, clinical practice, service, and scholarly missions, with primary teaching responsibilities in the Pharmacy Practice and Care Process (PPCP)/Integrated Pharmacy Laboratory (IPL) sequence, Capstone courses, and other clinical courses within the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum as needed.
The successful candidate will establish and maintain a clinical practice site in a clinic or ambulatory care setting that supports the expansion of pharmacist-provided patient care services, particularly for rural, underserved, and marginalized populations. The faculty member will also engage in service to the Department, College, University, profession, and community and pursue scholarly activities related to clinical practice, pharmacy education, community engagement, health disparities, or other areas aligned with the faculty member's expertise and interests.
The anticipated start date is September 1, 2026. This is a full-time, academic year, non-tenure-track, limited, renewable appointment, with continuation contingent upon successful performance review and programmatic needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
1. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE-accredited college or university.
2. Completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency.
3. Minimum of three years of pharmacy practice experience.
4. Licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in Rhode Island.
5. Experience providing direct patient care and applying the Pharmacists' Patient Care Process.
6. Experience precepting student pharmacists or other health professions learners.
7. Demonstrated strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, healthcare professionals, community partners, and interprofessional teams.
9. Demonstrated effective teaching, presentation, and facilitation skills.
10. Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with diverse populations and fostering inclusive learning and clinical practice environments.
PREFERRED:
1. Prior didactic, laboratory, or experiential teaching experience in a Doctor of Pharmacy or other health professions program.
2. Experience providing care to rural, underserved, marginalized, or other populations experiencing barriers to healthcare.
3. Experience providing pharmacist services under a Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) or other collaborative patient care model.
4. Experience coordinating courses, laboratory sequences, simulations, or large-scale student assessments.
5. Evidence of scholarly productivity or demonstrated potential for scholarly contributions.
6. Experience developing, implementing, expanding, or evaluating pharmacist-provided patient care services.
7. APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certification or willingness to obtain certification.
