Job Summary/Basic Function
The Senior Storage Administrator is responsible for the architectural design, implementation, and management of the university's centralized, mission-critical enterprise storage systems. This role ensures high availability, data integrity, and robust recovery capabilities for all university data through the management of SAN/NAS infrastructure and complex backup/disaster recovery (DR) solutions. The position provides the "last line" of technical support and offers strategic leadership in infrastructure evolution, including virtualization and cloud integration.

Working Conditions
Reporting Structure and Oncall:The position may require occasional evening or weekend work for system maintenance and upgrades. The role may involve collaboration with remote teams and support for users in different time zones. This is a mid-level position, requiring some oversight and orientated direction by others but with autonomy to perform process analysis and provide recommendations. This is a non-supervisory position. Work primarily impacts all areas of the University. This position requires 24×7 on-call support.Remote Work:This position allows for remote work but may require an onsite presence for certain efforts. Applicants with proximity to the university’s main campus will be given priority.Background Checks:To preserve the safety and security of the campus community and to maintain the integrity of university operations, it is the policy of Wright State University making an employment offer contingent on various background checks, such as a criminal record, credit history when job related and/or education verifications.
