
ATSU - HVAC Mechanic II
Description
A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a full-time, non-exempt HVAC Mechanic II on the Kirkville, Missouri campus. The HVAC Mechanic II is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and optimization of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and building automation systems across the Kirksville campus in support of the university's daily operations. This position ensures optimal performance of HVAC systems to provide a safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient environment for students, faculty, staff, patients, and visitors. The HVAC Mechanic II will respond to service requests from building occupants in a respectful and timely manner, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment. They will also perform preventive maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, system optimization, and HVAC project-related work. Perform HVAC-related project work, including system installations, equipment replacements, renovations, upgrades, and commissioning activities to support campus operational and capital improvement objectives. This position will utilize, monitor and troubleshoot HVAC controls software systems to monitor performance, identify deficiencies, and optimize building operations. The HVAC Mechanic II reports to the Assistant Director of Facilities and Plant Operations.
