Job Description Summary
The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health seeks a Program Coordinator to support a portfolio of grant-supported maternal and child health programs. The Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to identify community maternal health needs, implement evidence-based practices, and apply quality improvement techniques to track postpartum population health metrics. Key responsibilities include integrating grant initiatives into clinical workflows, overseeing network projects locally and statewide, managing project schedules, and maintaining relationships with administrators, faculty, and clinical staff. The role also involves supporting meeting coordination, preparing progress and financial reports, and ensuring seamless collaboration across grant teams.
Job Description
The Program Coordinator (Research Coordinator) will be a part of a team to help improve maternal health outcomes in Pennsylvania and beyond through expansion of maternal child health innovations which (1) provide preconception health delivery for parents at well child visits, (2) address health equity in preconception and reproductive health and (3) utilize the IMPLICIT Interconception Care and 4th Trimester care model. The position is funded through a federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant with a goal to improve obstetrical and maternal health outcomes through improved training and care delivery among the perinatal workforce. The Program Coordinator will work with an energetic team to identify community maternal health needs, assess possible intervention points and guide implementation of evidence-based practices. In this role, the coordinator will use quality improvement techniques and help track population health metrics for postpartum care across related practices.
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and integrating maternal child health grant initiatives into clinical workflows and training curriculum; provide oversight to network initiatives occurring locally in the institution or in Pennsylvania; monitor project schedules; facilitate the continuous integration of project efforts with their respective grant teams; establish and maintain collaborative relationships with administrators, faculty, and staff; facilitate meeting coordination and documentation of project activities; help prepare progress and financial reports. The Program Coordinator will participate in scheduled project meetings related to grant activities or maternal child health initiatives. Finally, the Program Coordinator will have the capacity for additional training and skill building in EPIC patient lists, dashboards, and other data platforms describing and analyzing population-level data.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of post-degree experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's Degree in public health or health-related concentration preferred. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for maternal and child health. They bring project management skills, the ability to juggle multiple priorities across sites and grant activities, and a natural aptitude for building collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, from frontline clinical staff to academic leadership. A successful candidate that communicates clearly and consistently, thrives in a team-oriented environment, and approaches challenges with a solutions-focused mindset. Comfort with data collection, regulatory compliance, and health information systems (such as EPIC) is a plus, as is a genuine curiosity for quality improvement and population health. Prior experience in clinical research coordination, public health, or a related healthcare setting will set candidates up for success in this dynamic and rewarding role.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Clinical Integration & Site Liaison - Serve as the principal liaison for assigned sites, supporting the integration of maternal child health grant initiatives into clinical workflows and training curriculum. Interface with providers and site clinical teams, foster collaborative relationships with administrators and faculty, and function as a key resource for physicians and healthcare staff on project implementation.
Research Coordination & Compliance - Oversee and monitor research activities to ensure compliance with human subject protection guidelines and applicable regulatory standards. Support IRB submissions and continuing reviews, maintain regulatory and legal documentation, and ensure collected data is accurate, complete, and integrity-intact across all approved protocols.
Project Management & Reporting - Monitor project schedules, develop operational tools, and maintain recordkeeping systems. Facilitate meeting coordination, document project activities, and help prepare progress and financial reports. Oversee administrative support functions to keep network initiatives on track locally and across Pennsylvania.
Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration - Maintain ongoing communication with provider champions, site personnel, IMPLICIT staff, and leadership. Collaborate with other Project Coordinators across sites and grants, contribute to the mentoring of new network staff, and support the continuous integration of project efforts with respective grant teams.
Supply & Materials Management - Maintain adequate inventory of IMPLICIT Network supplies, including multivitamins, blood pressure cuffs, and educational/handout materials. Oversee procurement and distribution of grant-specific materials to ensure consistent availability across assigned sites.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
