Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports to the Budget Manager and is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, development, and monitoring of the College's budget.

Performs budget and financial analysis by demonstrating ability to extract, research, investigate, analyze, evaluate data; recommend necessary changes.Responsible for reviewing operating budgets in order to analyze trends affecting budget needs.Provides daily support regarding budgetary policies, procedures, and maintenance of departmental budgets. Responds to budget concerns from departments, researching root cause of discrepancy and work with appropriate department(s) to refine processes to prevent similar issues.Processes budget adjustment entries.Provides technical assistance in the development and submission of annual budgets.Works with accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting. Assists in the development of training materials (process flow charts, job aids, and other resources for budget officers.Assists in the preparation of the annual budget publications.Assists in the preparation of various reports and presentations for Budget Officers, Administrators and Board of Trustees. Designs and provides ad hoc analyses proactively and upon request.Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

Qualifications:

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field required or in lieu of a bachelor's degree, equivalent number of years of experience required.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 1 year of previous financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, statistical or related experience.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Power Point and advanced Excel Skills (functions, formulas, graphs, and pivot tables).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational, time management skills and attention to detail are a must.
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize, meet deadlines and balance multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate and problem solve with employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Working Conditions:

PC, calculator, printer, copier, telephone and fax.Experience with MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.This position requires a background check and drug screen.

Hybrid Remote Eligible: Yes

Hiring Range:
10 Salary/Starting salary beginning at $60,064/annually, based on education and experience.

Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
