Job Summary/Basic Function
The Athletic Director, reporting to the President, provides strategic leadership and direction that intensifies the excitement and achievement of Wright State University Athletics and increases community and public engagement with the Raiders. Responsible for long-range planning for all administrative, management, facilities, fundraising, marketing, and public relations for an NCAA Division I program, ensuring compliance with NCAA and league standards, Title IX, state and federal laws. Serves as a key ambassador for the University, actively engaging in fundraising activities and alumni relations initiatives. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions
It is expected that the Athletics Director will travel in support of team activities, fundraising, community engagement, etc.Will regularly attend events on evenings and weekends.Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply.To preserve the safety and security of the campus community and to maintain the integrity of university operations, it is the policy of Wright State University making an employment offer contingent on various background checks, such as a criminal record, credit history when job related and/or education verifications.
