Position Title: Graduate Assistant Coach - Women's Lacrosse
Reporting To: Head Women's Lacrosse Coach and Director of Athletics
  • Hours per week: 20/25 hours a week
  • Stipend/Benefits: Tuition waived up to 24 credits & a $1000 stipend for the academic year

Role Summary
The Graduate Assistant will provide administrative and educational support to the Women's Lacrosse team.

This role is designed to provide the student with professional experience in a higher education setting while

supporting the operational goals of the department. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can balance their

academic workload with helping organize and facilitate practices and games, team laundry, meal orders, study

hall, team bonding, team lift, and some on campus recruit interactions.


Qualifications
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist coaches in running practice and games
  • Helping washes team jerseys after games
  • Setting up meal orders for away games
  • Facilitating study hall in the library
  • Organizing team bonding or "Falcon Family" groups
  • Observing team lift
  • Meeting with some recruits on campus/helping with tours
  • Some physical activity could be involved must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet for multiple

hoursEligibility & Requirements
  • Enrollment: Must be currently accepted in a Master program at Albertus Magnus College in one of the following areas:
    1. Accounting (only two spots available)
    2. Business Administration
    3. Criminal Justice
    4. Management and Organizational Leadership
    5. Healthcare Administration (only two spots available)


  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in [Microsoft Office/Google Workspace].
  • Previous experience at the collegiate, club, and/or scholastic levels as a student-athlete and/or coach.
  • Knowledge of collegiate rules and a demonstrated compliance with said rules.
  • Relevant work experience may be substituted to meet qualifications for the position.

  • Gain hands-on experience in
  • Develop mentorship skills through interaction with undergraduate students.
  • Opportunity to be credited in academic publications or present at conferences.
