Job Description Summary
The Hepatology Research Project Manager A will work independently with minimal supervision. The primary functions of this position will be to supervise and provide support to the clinical research staff, oversee the orientation and training of research personnel, and conduct database research, behavioral research, and clinical trials at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to these duties, the manager will also manage study purchases and supplies. He/She will manage all study related aspects of the Hepatology Clinical Research Program. The first component of this position will be to manage personnel in the group including orientation, workload, assignments, and management. The Hepatology Research Project Manager A will manage multi-site projects and staff at remote sites. This will include training and monitoring duties. The second component will be collaborating with the PIs (Dr. Serper/Dr. Kaplan) and any /Sub Investigators in determining projects and providing support to the Investigators. The third component will be conducting clinical trials with Project Manager and Clinical Research Coordinator responsibilities. In addition to these duties, they will work to maintain a supportive and collaborative atmosphere among staff.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Preferred:
Management and supervisory experience. Effective problem-solving abilities, effective communication and writing skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Applicant must be able to appropriately prioritize, manage time effectively and exercise mature judgment. Clinical trial/clinical research experience

$62,000.00 - $70,958.00 Annual Rate
Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level. Internal organization and peer data at Penn are also considered.
