Job Description
Carroll University's Music Program seeks a part-time, adjunct faculty member to conduct the Treble Choir (MUS187) for the 2026-2027 academic year (fall and spring). This position calls for a skilled musician in the art of conducting choral ensembles and vocal development of collegiate treble voices. This is a part-time role that collaborates closely with the Director of Choirs and Vocal Music at Carroll.
Treble Choir rehearsals are in-person on our campus, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00-5:50pm, and the course counts as 4 credits on teaching load. There are 2-3 performances each semester that fall on a Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday. Occasionally, other on-campus performances/events may be requested by campus constituents. There may be an opportunity to conduct the Treble Choir during the Carroll Choirs' international tour to England (Spring 2027.)
Qualifications
Advanced Degree in Music (required) with an emphasis in choral conducting (preferred)
Experience working with singers at various stages of vocal development and musicianship (required)
Experience teaching collegiate treble choir (preferred)
Creative programming of choral repertoire (required)
Demonstrate artistic experience as both solo and ensemble vocal performing artist (preferred)
