Administrative Assistant II - Dean of the School of Liberal ArtsThe Administrative Assistant II reports to the Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and will work in an exciting, fast-paced, and challenging environment that often involves multitasking and managing a variety of projects and requests simultaneously. This is the first person that visitors and individuals seeking help encounter. As such, the Administrative Assistant II is a vital member of the team responding to internal and external demands. This position frequently handles sensitive and/or highly confidential material.

Provides administrative support and assistance to the Dean, the Associate Deans, and the Dean's staff of the School of Liberal Arts, including making appointments, scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, maintaining calendars, and assisting with special projects

Assists public by providing general information or referral by telephone, mail, or in person

Manages daily operations of the School of Liberal Arts including maintenance of office supplies and electronic files

Prepares correspondence, presentations, charts, slides, or other material for meetings and events as requested

Coordinates and/or supports various activities or events involving several different constituencies for the Dean and other staff members

Organizes and publishes events in the weekly SLA PawPrint

Coordinates with Communications to ensure accuracy of the SLA web presence and SLA social media accounts

Assists as needed with the planning and execution of events, including scheduling events in 25Live for SLA and coordinating the subsequent facilities, technology, and catering requests for these events

Performs other related duties as assigned
High School or GED
Two years relevant work experience
Associate's degree or higher
$34,800 - $41,700; Salary offer will be dependent on candidate¿s experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.

Skilled in various software platforms including Microsoft Office with a focus on Word, Excel and Outlook
Skilled in organization and time management
