Summary:
Principal Functional Responsibilities:
Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate closely with counseling staff, medical providers, case managers, and campus partners to support patent mental health and overall well-being.
Compliance and Professional Standards: Adhere to NEOMED, NEOMED Health Care and appropriate credentialing policies, state licensure requirements, and ethical guidelines for psychiatric practice. Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric treatment, psychopharmacology, and emerging trends in college mental health. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with accreditation or regulatory standards where applicable.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Licensed physician in the State of Ohio, DO or MD, with a fully unencumbered license
- Valid, unencumbered DEA certificate
- Completion of accredited psychiatric training program residency with Board Certification in Psychiatry
- Participation in appropriate continuing certification programs as outlined via Board Certification
- Training in Community Mental Health, or greater than 2 years’ experience during post-residency
