Pay Range: ap: $80-$115k, AP: $90-$150k, P: $130-$175k
Pay Determination:
Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months’ salary unless otherwise specified.

Job Description:
Syracuse University's Department of Sport Management in the David B. Falk College of Sport invites applications for either a tenure-track Assistant, or a tenured Associate, or Full Professor level to begin in Fall 2026. We seek candidates with a strong record of scholarship, external funding, and teaching excellence across sport management disciplines.
The Falk College of Sport is the nation's first and only college at a high-research university focused exclusively on sport-related disciplines. This reflects Syracuse University's strategic commitment to sport as a focal point for interdisciplinary scholarship, innovative academic programs, and transformative student experiences. The Department currently offers a B.S. in Sport Management and a B.S. in Esports Communications and Management with additional programs in development.
Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in sport management, business, or related field by start date
- Demonstrated research productivity and scholarly impact appropriate to rank
- Demonstrated ability (or potential for Assistant Professor candidates) to secure external research funding
Job Specific Qualifications:
- Established national or international research reputation in sport management
- Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration
- Record of mentoring graduate students and early-career scholars
- Evidence of effective teaching at the collegiate level
- Commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service
Responsibilities:
- Conduct rigorous individual and collaborative research that advances sport management scholarship and establishes or sustains national/international recognition
- Pursue external funding opportunities aligned with research expertise
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in sport management
- Provide service to the department, college, university, and profession
- Engage actively with relevant scholarly communities and the sport industry
- Collaborate with academic units across the university
