Typist II - Civil Service Responsibilities: The person in this position, working closely with other staff members from the Office of Advising, will perform a variety of registration related clerical and detailed data input activities, including but not limited to, assisting students registering online and utilizing online resources; reviewing students' records for eligibility, scheduling appointments, monitoring student traffic and online tracking system; inputting student-advisor assignment and updating major change requests data in the system; answering telephone and directing calls to proper person/department; answering email and in-person inquiries from students, staff and general public; perform general clerical duties such as merging data documents and mailing, filing, sorting mail, data standard clean-up and related work as needed.
