Position Description Columbia Engineering invites applications for an open rank faculty position in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, starting July 1, 2026. Appointments will be made at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor (without tenure), tenured Associate Professor, or tenured Professor rank, depending on the applicant's qualifications. The position is open to exceptional applicants in all areas of operations research and management science. We welcome candidates with research interests in the foundations of optimization and probability, including their intersections with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science. The department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) of Columbia University seeks an exceptional junior level faculty member in clinical informatics. This is a non-tenure track position at the level of Assistant Professor at CUMC. The candidate will oversee innovation in AI applied to medical education and clinical informatics. As a member of the department, the candidate will participate in its education mission including curricula development and mentoring as well as the clinical mission including leading and evaluating clinical informatics interventions. The candidate will mentor clinical informatics fellows and participate in the education activities of the department in the medical school and will lead clinical informatics activities that provide applied opportunities for mentoring trainees.
