Summary A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is immediately available to investigate the mechanisms of gut nutrient sensing and brain reward systems by intestinal Intrinsic Primary Afferent Neurons (IPANs) and their roles in obesity and diabetes development as part of an R01 funded project in Dr. Sinju Sundaresan’s laboratory at Midwestern University, Downers Grove, IL. We are seeking hard-working, highly motivated, detail-oriented candidates with background in neuroscience and experience in rodent survival surgery, stereotaxic surgery, electrophysiology, rodent behavioral evaluation combining opto- or chemo-genetics, fiber-photometry, and head-mount miniature microscopy to join our research team. GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:  The instructor is responsible for fostering student learning through effectively teaching coursework in the area of Accounting. A course load of 15 credit hours per semester is required. Teaching schedule will be assigned by the dean and may involve teaching at various Kirkwood locations in a variety of delivery formats including online, virtual, and face to face.  Position is not remote . Instructors may be asked to teach evenings and weekends. Instructor will be responsible to cover various introductory and advanced accounting topics and courses.
