  The Department of Cancer Biology at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine is the discovery science hub for the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center (AHWFBCCC). Departmental faculty engage in cutting edge research on signaling, genomics, metabolism, microbiome, immuno-oncology, therapeutic development, and metastatic mechanisms in a range of cancers including breast, lung, prostate, brain, leukemias, melanoma and more in a collaborative environment. The Department is home to the Cancer Biology PhD program and faculty train PhD and MS students from other programs including Molecular Medicine and Translational Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, and Integrative Physiology and Pharmacology.
