After School Program - Specialty Staff (Temporary Employee Pool) Primary Purpose: The University of the Pacific, Harold S. Jacoby Center is partnered with Stockton Unified School District to provide after school program services to elementary students enrolled in the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP). We are looking for candidates who enjoy working with elementary students and have a passion for science and/or the arts. Essential Functions:
Actively guide, teach and lead a group of 15-20 elementary students in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) activities.
Maintain and ensure a safe environment for all students.
Plan, create, implement and submit lesson plans that primarily focus on science or art.
Establish and enforce rules, routines and expectations with group of students.
Maintain a safe learning environment by addressing behavior issues as they arise.
Communicate effectively.
