Postdoctoral Researcher in Structural Virology/Immunology Location: University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine Open Date: Dec 08, 2025 Deadline: The Roark Laboratory is opening at the Perelman School of Medicine (Department of Microbiology) in January 2026 and is accepting applications from highly motivated structural biologists for a postdoctoral research position. Our lab uses single-particle cryogenic electron microscopy (cryoEM) analysis of viral glycoproteins to define cellular entry and immune evasion mechanisms, including the characterization of neutralizing antibodies that can overcome these processes. We then leverage this structural and functional information to rationally design biotherapeutics and immunogens against viruses that have resisted standard vaccine approaches.
