Our lab investigates how mitochondria are maintained and renewed in long-lived mammalian cells, with a particular interest in how organelle function is sustained over extended timescales in complex tissues. We integrate mouse models, quantitative biochemistry, stable-isotope tracing, and mass-spectrometry-based omics to understand the molecular mechanisms that govern mitochondrial maintenance, bioenergetics, and cellular resilience.
