Principal Clerk - Accounts Payable Office Responsibilities: An employee in this position is responsible for performing a variety of routine Comptroller office tasks to guarantee that all preparation for department tasks are prepared following prescribed guidelines. The work is performed under the general supervision of a higher-level employee with leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative in work methods. The Accounts Payable department is responsible for processing, verifying, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices to vendors and suppliers. This position may also assist with invoice review, data entry, payment processing, vendor inquiries, filing, and other related tasks as needed.
