The Art History Program in the School of Art & Design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Early Modern European Art History (1300-1700) to a one-year, non-tenure-track faculty appointment (up to 100% time for up to 9 months). The proposed start date is August 16, 2026.
Context
The Art History Program consists of eight full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty members, plus affiliated faculty. Degrees offered include the B.A. and B.F.A, as well as the M.A. and Ph.D. Art History graduate courses also support graduate minors in Museum Studies and Medieval Studies. The University Library is the largest among publicly supported educational institutions and one of the largest university libraries in the country. There are two university museums, the Krannert Art Museum and the Spurlock Museum.
