In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $125.00 Hourly
Maximum $125.00 Hourly
Job Summary
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to the practice of Physician Assistants.
- Knowledge of the skills and tasks that are performable by a primary care Physician Assistant.
Skills:
- Effective skills in oral and written communication.
Abilities:
- Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications
- If PA – Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and possessing a Master’s Degree.
- Other than PA: a minimum of a Master’s degree in the field in which instruction is to be provided.
Experience:
- If a PA: Minimum two years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant or 1 year of clinical experience and a Masters degree.
- If non-PA: two years of experience with a Master’s degree in a related field. One year of experience with a Doctoral degree in a related field.
Licensure:
- For PAs: California Physician Assistant License; NCCPA Certification.
- For non-PA – licensure or certification in the related field if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate degree will be given preference
