Position Title: Data Entry Clerk (Reg PT)

Additional Information:

Work Hours: Standard College hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; Additional hours, including evening and weekend hours, may be needed to meet the needs of the department.

General Summary: Provide quality customer service through both direct contact and indirect contact with students, staff, and outside organizations. This position is the first line of communication for financial aid and registration. Must be able to answer a variety of questions related to departmental process, policy, procedures, and provide direction to other various departmental questions.

Requirements:

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Experience in data entry which may be obtained through previous job related or educational training.

Certifications/Licensures: N/A.

Skills/Abilities Requirements: Should possess excellent interpersonal skills in interfacing with faculty, staff and students. Ability to multitask while effectively communicating CCAC policy and procedures to students and their Must be able to operate various office equipment, including a personal computer, and appropriate College software packages or equivalent. Ability to travel to perform work duties at any campus or center location within the CCAC system. Should possess good organizational, customer service, communication, interpersonal and clerical skills. Detail oriented, ability to multi-task meet deadlines and be a team player. Required to have regular and timely attendance.

Physical Requirements, If Applicable: Work in a general office environment with ability to sit for 2 hours without interruption.

Duties: 1. Provides quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
2. Answers phone, emails, and meet students (families) while providing guidance in processes, procedures, and policies.
3. Possesses skills to add, delete, update, retrieve and verify data for College financial, academic and administrative operations; batches data for input; verifies data entry operations and makes necessary corrections.
4. Assists in performing various clerical duties including typing, filing, copying and duties pertaining to student registrations and accounts.
5. Assists with scanning, linking, and shredding documentation so all files are maintained in an electronic filing system wide.
6. Assists in training part-time, temporary, work-study or newly hired employees.
7. Perform all duties in accordance with applicable laws, collective bargaining agreements, board policies and administrative regulations and directives.
8. Performs other clerical duties for specific/unique needs of the department.
9. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
