In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $84,000.00 Annually
Maximum $84,000.00 Annually
Job Summary
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Knowledge of current and emerging legislation, issues, and trends as appropriate to the position.

- Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional policies and practices specific to the employment and/or academic environment.
- Project planning skills.
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare accurate reports.
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
- Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Ability to provide technical advice and information to faculty and staff in area of expertise.
- Ability to develop and implement new strategies and procedures.
- Ability to provide effective and appropriate advice and expertise to all levels within the University community.
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Experience with crime prevention programs, procedures and practices, as well as safety training administration.
- Knowledge of federal and state public safety reporting requirements and other applicable crime data reporting.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or J.D.
Experience:
- Three to five years of experience complying with the requirements of the Clery Act.
- Familiarity with Title IX and Federal and State Hazing regulations.
- Experience working at an institution of higher education and/or in a compliance role.
