Position Overview:
The specialist also serves as a key point of contact for students, faculty, administration, alumni, and the public, providing exceptional customer service and supporting the store’s financial and operational goals.
Duties will include:
- Coordinating logistics and workflows
- Monitoring inventory levels
- Tracking shipments
- Troubleshooting operational challenges in real time
- Manages scheduling deliveries and events
- Implements process and technology improvements
- Ensures compliance with safety standards across all facilities
Required Experience:
- One year of retail/customer service experience
- Managing, training, and supervising employees
- Coordinating and implementing programs/projects
- Managing conflicting priorities
Required Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Required Other:
- Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving university-owned vehicles
- Ability to travel
- Ability to work nonstandard business hours which may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Additional Preferred:
- Following verbal and written instructions, policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively and professionally in both verbal and written format
- Use computers to communicate with email, enter, retrieve, and edit data
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated customer service orientation with commitment and drive sales through all channels
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Cash handling
- Merchandising
- Organization and attention to detail
- Working with POS/Inventory control systems
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Bend, stoop, lift, carry and/or otherwise move items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to move about and between venues for extended periods of time up to a full day of work
