Salary Range: Commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Details

Job Summary

The Football Analyst I provides support to the Football Coaching staff by coordinating activities of full-time analysts. The Football Analyst I assist in film breakdown, game planning, and in the coaching of student-athletes.



Core Responsibilities
  1. Reviews opponent game tapes.

  2. Prepares breakdown of opponent tendencies.

  3. Assists coaching staff in pre-practice preparation.

  4. Assists coaches with formulating game plans, designing plays, and creating practice/game strategies.

  5. Assists/coordinates on-campus recruiting events and activities.

  6. Provides written communication with prospects.

  7. Communicates with high school coaches regarding recruiting.

  8. Supervises assigned staff and assist the head coach with managing work hours and assignments of staff.

  9. Serves as an off-field liaison to academics, training, operations, and equipment.

  10. Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivelant.
  • One (1) year of related work experience.

  • This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.


Working Conditions
  • Office environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events. Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.


Physical Demands
  • Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.

This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
