
Clinical Faculty in Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation
The Department of Surgical and Radiological Sciences at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine seeks candidates for an Assistant/Associate clinical faculty position in the field of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
The position includes a 70% or 90% clinical commitment to Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation service of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Other responsibilities include teaching, professional competence, creative scholarship, and service.
The current base pay range is $176,100 to $236,400. Other components of pay may be offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions, qualifications, and experience.
Qualifications: Veterinarian with advanced training in small animal sports medicine and rehabilitation. Board certification in the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ACVSMR) or European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ECVSMR), or completion of an approved residency of the ACVSMR or ECVSMR by August 1, 2026 is required. Preference will be given to candidates board-certified by ACVSMR or ECVSMR. Documented clinical experience and competence in small animal sports medicine and rehabilitation is required. Demonstrated aptitude and experience in teaching, particularly clinical instruction, is required. Documented record of creative scholarship or potential to develop a clinical research program in small animal sports medicine and/or rehabilitation is recommended. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to join our collaborative team.
