Director of Field and Clinical Experiences and Educational Partnerships

The Office of Field and Clinical Experiences and Educational Partnerships aims to cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships with PK-12 school districts and other external stakeholders and to secure and monitor placements that support the professional growth and development of teacher candidates. The Director of Field and Clinical Experiences and Educational Partnerships is responsible for providing support in four areas: partnerships, placements, curriculum, and accreditation.

Essential Function 1 -
Compliance, Assessment & Accreditation - Ensure all field and clinical experiences comply with Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) requirements, CAEP standards, and applicable legal guidelines; collaborate with department chairs and the accreditation team to monitor quality, support continuous improvement, inform curriculum development, and prepare accreditation documentation.

Essential Function 2 -
Placement Coordination - Identify, secure, assign, and monitor high-quality field and clinical placements that align with GaPSC certification requirements, EPP expectations, and degree program outcomes; maintain placement records and verification documentation; ensure candidate eligibility and readiness for placement; resolve placement issues; and provide oversight of faculty supervisors, mentor teachers, and teacher candidates.

Essential Function 3 -
Training & Mentorship - Provide training, professional development, and mentorship for faculty supervisors and mentor teachers; collaborate with EPP leadership and department chairs to ensure clear supervision expectations and effective use of assessment instruments; coordinate student leadership initiatives.

Essential Function 4 -
Administration & Operations - Coordinate with campus units; manage calendars, databases, handbooks, and website content; respond to field-related concerns; provide feedback to PK¿12 districts; and serve on relevant institutional and external committees.

Essential Function 5 -
Teacher Candidate Support & Guidance - Plan orientations, support candidates throughout field experiences, facilitate and document Candidate Support Plans (CSPs), conduct targeted observations as needed, and address professional or dispositional concerns.

Essential Function 6 -
Educational Partnerships - Develop and sustain partnerships with PK¿12 districts and external stakeholders; serve as liaison; support recruitment efforts; manage affiliation agreements and MOUs; maintain partnership databases; create communication materials; and plan and implement semesterly partnership meetings.

Essential Function 7 -
Other duties as assigned

Master's degree in an education discipline
Has a minimum of 5 years of PK-12 or related experience
Experience supervising teacher candidates
Terminal degree in an education discipline
Holds a terminal degree in an education discipline
Holds or has held a professional teaching certificate
Experience serving as an instructional coach
Evidence of a collaborative leadership style
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain positive working relationships
$63,500 - $79,500; Salary offer will be dependent on candidate¿s experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.

Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
