Job Summary
The Business Coordinator provides office management and coordination by performing a variety of administrative duties, supporting daily operations, budgeting and light accounting duties for the Business & Finance Office. This forward-facing role will plan, organize, coordinate and perform a variety of complex technical and functions in support of Office of Budget and Planning, Accounting Services, Student Accounts, and Purchasing. This position frequently handles sensitive and/or highly confidential material; organizes, prioritizes, and triage; is proactive and anticipates; and is a vital member of the team responding to internal and external demands.
Responsibilities
Monitor budget department email and take appropriate actions to process budget transactions and audit documentation.
General office management: assist with the planning and execution of various activities or events and support the Business and Finance office. Administrative support for department training sessions and enter financial transactions.
Review budget exceptions and request documents from campus partners.
Run, manage, maintain and analyze reports (Target, Hire Lag, & Faculty reports). This includes handling of confidential information.
Prepare budget to actuals tracking files.
Review Education Abroad budget proposals
Maintain office files in accordance with best practices in document retention and destruction guidelines.
Assist with travel-related arrangements, including Travel Prior approvals, registration, airline reservations, car rentals, hotel reservations, etc.; Serve as a Purchasing Card holder for the department
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
2 Year / Associate Degree
Three or more years relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
4 Year / Bachelor's Degree
Three to five years of previous support staff work experience
Experience editing pdfs in Adobe
Experience with Peoplesoft Financials
Proposed Salary
42,100 - 50,500
Salary offer will be dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.
