
Assistant Teaching Professor in Finance

The University of Rhode Island's College of Business invites applications for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor in Finance, non-tenure track position beginning in the Spring 2026 semester. The appointment is for the 2025-2026 academic year and is renewable annually based on the faculty member's performance evaluation and contingent on funding.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The faculty member will teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The faculty member will actively participate in university, professional and community service and outreach activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
1. An MBA degree or Masters / Ph.D. degree related to Finance.
2. Evidence of effective teaching.
3. Demonstrated excellence in oral communication skills.
4. Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
6. Demonstrated commitment to actively participate in service and outreach activities.
PREFERRED:
1. Have a CFA or CFP designation and experience in developing CFP-related curriculum.
2. Possess relevant finance industry experience to enhance teaching, service, networking and student advising.
3. Demonstrated strong connections with the industry to support student internship advising.
4. Demonstrated experience in online teaching.
