Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $130,000.00 Annually
Maximum $140,600.00 Annually

Job Summary
This is a College of Dental Medicine Full-Time faculty position within Western University of Health Sciences and is offered in conjunction with a faculty appointment. Together the administrative role (PCN A03381) and the faculty role (PCN F03168) comprise a full-time position (1.0 FTE / 5 days per week).

The salary range listed in this posting represents the total compensation for the combined faculty and administrative responsibilities. Please refer to the corresponding job posting under our Administration jobs section for details on the additional assignment.

The Coordinator for Community Partnerships and Development for the College of Dental Medicine (CDM) primarily supports and manages administrative duties related to Community Based Dental Education. This position is in conjunction with a faculty position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Individuals must possess these skills, abilities and knowledge or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Recognized knowledge and experience in the area of expertise.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to interact in an effective and positive manner with individuals of diverse backgrounds, including administration, faculty, students, staff, and outside contacts.
  • Ability to effectively conduct detail-oriented assignments and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities in an academic environment.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD)


  • Licenses: Current dental license in California

  • Experience:
    • Experience in FQHC and FQHC-look alike or similar clinic.
    • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience:
    • Background in public health and community dentistry
    • Bilingual Spanish/English Chinese/English
