Academic Surgical Pathologist Assistant/Associate Professor University of California, Davis The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine is seeking dynamic academic physician-educators, and -investigators to grow clinical, teaching and creative programs in surgical pathology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Clinical (X) or the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series. Clinical duties will chiefly involve surgical pathology. Teaching duties may include clinical, didactic, and small group teaching of housestaff and medical students, interdisciplinary conferences to housestaff and faculty, and curriculum development in sub-specialty areas. At least one year of experience teaching undergraduates, graduate students, medical students, or housestaff is required. Participation in the research mission of the institution is expected, either as a collaborator or as the intellectual leader of clinically-oriented research projects pertinent to the candidate's areas of expertise and sub-specialty training, depending on academic series chosen for appointment. The ability to maintain a high level of service, work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment, exhibit excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain excellent relationships with medical and technical staff, trainees, and others are required.
