Visiting Professor Tribal Practice Clinic Seattle University Visiting Professor Tribal Practice Clinic Position Description Seattle University School of Law is seeking to hire a 0.5 FTE Visiting Professor to teach in its new Tribal Practice Clinic, beginning July 1, 2025. The Clinic is one component of a partnership between the Law School and Skagit Legal Aid designed to increase access to holistic legal services for individuals with matters before the Swinomish and Makah Tribal Courts. The Clinic will provide advice in areas such as family law, housing, and hunting and fishing violations, in addition to other needs identified by the community. The Clinic will also assist with estate planning and some Bureau of Indian Affairs-related issues. The Clinic seeks a Visiting Professor with specialized legal knowledge of Indigenous Peoples Law (federal Indian law and tribal law) and an understanding of the unique sovereign status of Tribal Nations.
