The Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education (KPE) at the University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure stream appointment in the sociocultural studies of physical activity and health. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor and will begin on September 1, 2023, or shortly thereafter.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Kinesiology or relevant field in the social sciences (e.g., Indigenous studies, sociology, health studies, cultural studies, environmental studies, gender studies, critical race studies, queer studies, critical disability studies, media studies), with a clearly demonstrated exceptional record of excellence in research and teaching. Candidates with a background in decolonial or land-based research and qualitative methodologies are especially encouraged to apply.
